What is the purpose of this research study?

The purpose of this research study is to understand how people make decisions while shopping in a convenience store environment.

What will I be doing?

You will come to the UNC Mini Mart, complete a shopping task, and take a computer survey.

What are the costs of participating?

The only costs are the time spent at the study site and resources needed to arrive at the study site, such as gas money. Parking and participating in the study are completely free.

Will I be compensated for participating?

Yes. You will receive a grocery item of your choice and a Visa gift card for a total value of $40.

I have children. Can I bring them with me to the study?

Yes. We have a waiting room with chairs and toys. You will be responsible for supervising your children during study participation.

I do not speak English. Can I still participate?

Yes. Our team can speak with you in Spanish, and you will be able to complete the surveys in Spanish.

I’m only available in the evenings and on the weekends. Can I still participate?

Yes. Our team will be working some weekday evenings and Saturdays.
